This was an over nite kitchen overhaul that took years to complete. My house is constructed from a re purposed 100 year old peg and beam barn and as such, the glitzy polished cabinets that are @ many home shows & @ the box stores would not fit the decor. Hence the lengthy time to complete, actually, not complete but more finalize layout, materials, and appliances. Plus, being a frugal individual, off the shelf never fit my minds eye. Hence, Mohler's Woodworking Inc., enters about here. All my house internal doors are hand made, and having cabinet doors that accented them was desirable and would fit the overall decor (rustic). Mr Mohler spent countless hours on his CAD design tool building what was a near perfect rendition of what my minds eye had visioned. Yes, he came to my home, made a gazillion measurements, and I took equal number of photos then we spent months e-mailing them to and fro with updates, changes, etc. i stopped by his shop to see how he made cabinets. Yes, he actually made them, each piece of wood, nothing was preassembled, or pre finished, or pre cut, that was his job and oh boy did he do a great job!! Finished product is fantastic!! Rustic hickory, satin finish, relocated sink and inserted stove into an island, and perfect period correct countertops. Cost: I purchased the stove, dishwasher, sink, garbage disposal, and refrigerator over the course of several years (like I said, frugal) and saved some funds. Mr Mohler coordinated the plumbing, electrical, and counter installation. Final cost, minus what I purchased, was almost exactly his estimate, no over run, no last minute "Oh, forgot to add this or that", great honest work, great quality workmanship, very nice respectful people.
